The BoatReady process

How it works

BoatReady UK turns a used-boat viewing into a structured, recorded process you can act on with confidence.

From advert to decision

A clear route through every viewing

  1. Step 1

Create an account and choose a plan

Register with your email address, verify it, and buy a single inspection, a three-pack or the annual personal plan.

  2. Step 2

Add the boat and the viewing details

Record make, model, year, engine, trailer, asking price, seller details and where you are viewing.

  3. Step 3

    Answer a few setup questions

Tell us the boat type and whether it has an outboard, inboard or sterndrive, tubes, a cabin, a trailer, shore power, gas appliances or a planned sea trial. Only relevant sections are included.

  4. Step 4

    Work through the guided inspection

One question at a time, with pass, concern, fail, not checked and not applicable, plus photographs, notes, repair estimates and professional-check flags.

  5. Step 5

    Enter your budget and costs

Add survey, engineer, transport, service, safety equipment, insurance or storage allowances and a contingency, then see the totals update immediately.

  6. Step 6

    Generate your buyer report

Preview the report, download it as a PDF, and regenerate it whenever you update the inspection.

Important — please read

BoatReady UK helps users organise their own observations when viewing a used boat. It is not a marine survey, mechanical inspection, valuation, legal check, finance check or guarantee that defects will be identified. Boat condition, safety and documentation should be assessed by appropriately qualified professionals before purchase.
